Celebrating 80 Years!

This September will mark the 80th year of the Town and Country Women's Club. To commemorate this significant milestone, the Club invites the community to join them at an anniversary celebration on Sunday, September 22, 2024, from 1pm until 4pm at "The Barn" at Three Pines in Petersburg, Illinois. The anniversary celebration will serve as an opportunity to connect with new and past members, reflect on the history of the club and its contributions to the community, and talk about how the Club can serve the community in the future.

Founded in 1944 as a service organization, the Club has remained true to its mission of service to the community and to make Menard County a better place for all individuals and families. Club members continue to volunteer their time throughout the year and engage in a variety of community service projects. Some of the Club's notable projects include the annual Easter Egg Hunt, library story hour, kids' crafts and activities at the Menard County Fair and Harvest Fest and helping deliver meals to the elderly. The Club also hosts fundraisers to assist local parks, community service providers and other local organizations. One of the Club's most recent projects has been the revitalization of Jaycee Park in Petersburg, Illinois.
